Free Interval Timer for Functional Fitness
Free online interval timer for AMRAP, EMOM, Tabata, and for-time workouts. Counts down rounds, handles rest intervals, works on any device.
Generate a WOD and open the timerThe WODmachine timer is built into every generated workout — no separate app, no subscription, no phone mount needed. After generating a WOD, click the timer button on the workout card to start a full-screen countdown with audio cues for round transitions.
It handles AMRAP countdowns, EMOM minute alerts, for-time stopwatches, and interval formats automatically based on the generated workout structure.
How the Timer Works
Every workout card has a Timer button. Tapping it opens a full-screen overlay showing the countdown, the workout name, and a pause/done control. For AMRAP workouts, the timer counts down from the time cap. For for-time workouts, it counts up. For EMOMs, it signals each minute transition with an audio cue. The timer stays visible on top of the workout so you can refer back to the movements during the session.
Timer Formats Supported
AMRAP (countdown from time cap), for time (stopwatch up), EMOM (minute alert every 60 seconds), Tabata (20:10 intervals × 8 rounds), death by (escalating reps per minute), and interval (configurable work:rest ratios). All formats are driven by the generated workout type — no manual configuration needed.

Does the timer work offline?
Once the page is loaded, the timer continues to function if you lose internet connection mid-workout. Loading the page requires a connection.
